North Hollywood resident Dae McDonald joined the Army Reserve to help pay for college and travel. What she didn't realize was that being in the military would help in almost every aspect of her life.

As a broadcast specialist, a typical day for Dae may include delivering a radio report (above), shooting footage, and then editing that footage into a TV story (below, left and center). Off-duty, Dae is pursuing a career as an actress and takes improv classes (right) to hone her skills.
